Louis Venter Safaris operates a multi-country safari operation out of South Africa. Depending on client preference or the sought after trophy, Louis can arrange to hunt not only in South Africa but also Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Botswana. Louis has been hosting clients since 1994 on a well respected and successful basis. Within South Africa, Louis fleet of well maintained vehicles with take clients to numerous destinations pre-determined to contain mature, quality, and in most cases, record book trophy animals.
With Louis Venter Safaris, hunting areas, safari camps, professional hunters, and ancillary camp staff are all handpicked for their professionalism, experience, knowledge, courtesy and dedication to the client. In many instances, moving from one hunting area to another may be necessary in order to provide the client with the opportunity to harvest a true trophy class animal. This is done with ease and as much inconvenience as possible to the client. The results have proven time and again to be worthwhile.
Upon arrival in South Africa at Johannesburg International Airport, you will be met by Louis or a member of his staff pre-identified to you before you left your departure city in the US or elsewhere. After clearing customs, baggage will be loaded by staff into an air conditioned vehicle for transport to the hunting area lodge. In most cases, the travel time to the hunting area takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival at the lodge, your baggage will be unloaded and placed in your air conditioned hunting chalet. Depending upon time of day, firearms will be sighted in either that afternoon or first thing the next morning.
The lodging accommodations are first class. Each chalet is equipped with air conditioning and heating, hot showers, and comfortable furniture for relaxing. Once in your chalet, everything is provided, you only have to ask if it is not readily available. All bedding is changed daily and all personal laundry is done for you daily also. Meals are served "family style" in a common lodge area. Drinks are available continuously. When out hunting, meals are prepared in advance and loaded onto the hunting vehicle before it pulls out of camp each morning.
All hunting vehicles are fitted with two-way radios ensuring that communication with other party members or the base camp is maintained. Approximately 80% of South Africa has adequate cell phone coverage. Most US (and other) cell phone companies offer an international plan at a very reasonable monthly cost. Experience has shown that most client cell phones with the international coverage option work quite well in South Africa. When hunting in one of the other African countries, a satellite phone is always carried by Louis or his PH. The lodge is equipped with phone, fax, Internet, and e-mail capability.
Post Safari services include a visit to the taxidermist where the client is given the opportunity to view completed work in order to better select your preferred trophy mount. Add-on day trips to Kruger National Park or other points of interest are available for a slight additional charge. Louis Venter Safaris is well equipped to make your safari an unforgettable life time experience. Please, come to Africa and join us for an adventure you will never forget!
